Mission

To serve as a volunteer clearinghouse for individuals 55+ years of age; to provide opportunities that are equally meaningful to the volunteer serving and the community served; to mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community problems; to spread and support the spirit of volunteerism in Monroe and Owen Counties.

Funding   

RSVP is funded primarily by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), a federal domestic volunteer agency (www.cns.gov).  CNCS has offices at the state and regional level, with the national office in Washington, D.C.  CNCS provides the guidelines and funding under which RSVP operates.  Locally, RSVP has been sponsored by Area 10 Agency on Aging since 1988.
