The Area 10 Food Pantry program seeks to provide nutritional assistance to homebound individuals by delivering groceries on a monthly basis. Our aim is to assist those in need with access to wholesome foods and nutritional education so that they can better maintain an independent lifestyle.
Individuals who are homebound and are income eligible can receive our services. To be considered homebound, individuals must not be driving and must not be living with someone else who drives.
The Area 10 Food Pantry actively seeks donations of fresh, frozen and nonperishable food items. These items are bagged and delivered monthly to individuals who are unable to go to the grocery store or other food pantries due to physical limitations. If you or your organization would like to host a food drive please contact us.
Our services could not run without our dedicated volunteers who meet once a month to bag and deliver the groceries. We are always actively seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with donations, shopping, bagging, sorting and delivering groceries. All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and volunteer drivers must pass a background check.
The Chris Bottorff Mustang Gardens
The Chris Bottorff Mustang Garden program seeks to provide community members with opportunities to come work in the garden. Garden planning, planting, mulching, weeding, and watering are just some of the ways individuals can contribute to our garden in Ellettsville. The produce from the garden goes to individuals receiving food pantry services.
Pet Food Program
Through generous donations from Petco and Bring Hannah Home we are able to provide our food pantry patrons with food for companion animals. We also welcome drop off donations from the public for dog and cat food.
