About the Event

October 21st, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Lamkin Hall
200 North Daniels Way, Bloomington, IN

Every year 1 in 10 older Americans are victims of elder abuse, neglect, exploitation or scamming. And that’s only part of the picture: Experts believe that for every case of elder abuse or neglect reported, as many as 23.5 cases go unreported. Please join us for a conversation to discuss how we can provide the vulnerable elders in our community the protection and justice they need and deserve.

At the end of the day you will:

  • Understand the role that each agency/entity here today plays in elder abuse prevention.
  • Understand what community resources are available.
  • Understand what the gaps in service might be.
  • Identify an action step YOU can take to address elder abuse in our community.

Panelists include: Toby Strout, Liz Gones, Chris Gaal, Steve Galvin, Jamee Andre, Karen Gilliland, and Mavis Anderson
